Rise Above Challenge: Day 17

Be Vulnerable 

 

It’s time to share some negative feelings you have been experiencing but not telling anybody.

Today’s challenge is to talk to a trusted loved one or friend and be vulnerable about the feeling, and share it out loud. Sometimes this is all we need to do.

Emotions are a form of energy, and they are meant to be experienced and expressed (not resisted and repressed). Sharing them with a trusted friend might be just the outlet you need to “let some air out” (just like a balloon!) so you can move on. 

Tell someone you just need to vent and be honest today. Worst case scenario, if you do not have anyone to talk to then at least journal about the feeling. The purpose is to physically express the feeling. (verbally is best, but writing also works) This is why journaling about your day each night is a great exercise because it provides us an outlet to let out feelings that are not expressed in a healthy way.

  

 

P.S. Don't forget to meditate for 10 minutes, say out loud or write down your affirmations, take your Vitamin D3, practice gratitude, and get 20 minutes of movement! #LetsRiseAboveFear
