There is a good reason you see so many coloring books for adults nowadays, that's because coloring or making art is a great mindfulness technique!
So today grab your journal, a coloring book (like these we carry in our store), a blank canvas, clay, or anything else that lets you be creative.
Sometimes we get too narrowly focused on what we consider to be meditation or mindfulness practice, but art is totally just that! It is a great way to let our thinking brain (which is often the one focusing on the negative things) take a break and get into a flow state. That's one of the reasons why art is so therapeutic.
Tip: Anything that makes it more fun, the better! Go doodle-like your five years old again, finger paint, drop paint on a canvas like your Jason Pollock!
